ABOUT MICHELE

Michele brings 20 years of experience as a social worker. She has a passion for working with those clients struggling with addiction, trauma, grief, obesity, anxiety and depression. She had a vision to establish a private practice using her skills as a clinician to provide services using her skills in a variety of settings including mental health, addiction settings, and hospice social work. She partnered with Dr. Christian Dean in 2022 to create this vision

Michele Guidry, LCSW is a 2003 graduate of the Tulane School of Social Work. She has experience with children, adolescents, and adults since she was licensed as a social worker. Michele recently sought training as a BACS to train licensed master's social workers in 2023. She has completed basic training in EMDR in May 2024. She believes in serving those who are most vulnerable to long term systemic trauma, therefore she accepts Medicaid and is pending traditional Medicare acceptance.

Michele accepts most forms of insurance and private pay for individual and EAP services.In addition to insurance based services, she is able to provide mental health evaluations for certain potential clients. She prides herself on being an unconventional therapist.
